We will continue to choose hope over fear, unity over division.

The right to protest is a cornerstone of our democracy, but how it’s done matters. I urge all those who are planning to protest this weekend in London to do so peacefully, lawfully and with consideration for others in our city.

The Met has a policing plan in place to keep everyone safe, and any violence and incitement of racial or religious hatred will be met with the full force of the law.

The Government is right to ban far-right foreign speakers from coming to our country who were intent on peddling prejudice and hatred.

London is a city where we cherish our diversity and reject those who seek to divide our communities. We will continue to choose hope over fear, unity over division.
