I'm probably a weirdo because i find 90% of my music through movies and tv shows and exploring "new album drops" on spotify. Most people end up with super pareto spotify wrappeds and mine is basically flat distribution. So yeah, probably algo bad. It rewards "similar sound" instead of "quality"
