Nevin Durish @nevindurish.bsky.social · 25/08/2026Agreed, I’d be curious to see that as well. There’s good GIS data nationwide to document displacement of the big 4 (corn, cotton, wheat, soybeans), but I haven’t seen much to show displacement of high value crops. 110
Nevin Durish @nevindurish.bsky.social · 25/08/2026I have personally worked on solar on former orchards in the southwest, but they were dying off due to lack of water in the first place. Odd to “blame” solar for those losses if the farmers were already winding them down. Plus growing oranges in Arizona feels kinda crazy. 020
