3 of my 5 siblings have displayed bi-polar symptoms, but the narc symptoms prevent them from really examining or accepting that kind of diagnosis. Ontop, one of them has cultic programming which reinforces the narc symptoms.
@hugopm.bsky.socialNPD and its family network is particularly frustrating because by definition it has a lack of introspection, so not only will no diagnosis be forthcoming (for others) but one has to check one's own Narc symptoms in communicating with others whose own Narc symptoms will be defensive
