Here’s the first part of my stardew comic Evertrash Valley! Figured I’d post it here so I can post the second one with context lmao

Panel 1 she gets woken up by a phone call

Panel 2 she answers the phone and is immediately told very bluntly that her grandfather died.

Panel 3 she’s reasonably groggy and confused as the conversation quickly moves to funeral plans.

Panel 4 she’s frustrated and falls face
-first into her pillow

Panel 1 she’s walking to her car on the way to the funeral home. Text on screen reads “Never actually knew my grandfather. My father made it clear that he wasn't to be trusted.”

Panel 2 she’s blinded by the sun as she drives to the funeral home. Text on screen reads as follows “They said he moved Them away from their home town the moment he got enough money to retire, leaving behind several ex-spouses.”

Panel 3 she sits in the corner of the funeral home bored while spacing out. Text on screen is as follows “Piece of shit he was, he's still family one way or another, so I went, even though I had a shift the next day and was sleeping in.”

Panel 4 Soph looks out to the two other family members arguing about something. She thinks to herself “What’s the commotion?”
