With co-authors Aviva Berkovich-Ohana, Yair Dor-Ziderman, @rubenlaukkonen.bsky.social, @matthewsacchet.bsky.social and @kevinberryman.bsky.social, we solve the puzzle by pulling apart two distinct yet conflated notions of selfing. We call these the 'organismic self' and the 'identified-with self'.
