Illustration process! I started with a video ref so I could pick the best frames and frankenstein a mockup of the perfect pose, then sketched over that in Procreate, then painted most of the base color in Photoshop before taking it back to Procreate again. #NossSaga #Illustration #Tutorial

First loose sketch over a photo of me posing with a knife, leg up. A bunch of other photos are arranged at the bottom, of me taking similar poses (I cut and paste the parts of my body I liked most from each photo to create the final larger mockup)

Sketch of the full wolf character with rough black lines over white. Super loose, but trying to find the forms of the armor plates and details.

First paint pass with basic colors for each part of the armor, with reference pics of beetle wings (elytra) so I could color pick to get the shiny metallic effects.

Final piece. A black-furred anthropomorphic wolf stands defensively on one leg while holding up an obsidian-bladed dagger. He is standing by the water, seemingly practicing the pose with no enemies in front of him. He is wearing a colorful lamellar armor of plates and tassels of striking blues, greens, and purples.

El relleno de color en el minuto 0:42 fue tan repentino xD. Me hubiera gustado ver esa parte en mas detalle para saber cómo tomaste decisiones de color :)

You do look better with a tail. I'd encourage you to be a wolf more often.
