I'm sorry, but no. The attitude of how only 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 (!) can build unions+commonwealths of countries/nations & that other unions are, at best, bureaucratic monsters w/some 🍒 to pick, has always poisoned 🇬🇧's relationship with 🇪🇺. And this includes (irrationally emotional?) things like currencies and border checks. Until Britons are ready (and, in fact, EAGER!) to part with the pound 💷 and passport checks at the Channel, they are not ready to "re"-join 🇪🇺 Europe. I'd argue that most had never fully joined to begin with.
