It really wouldn’t. It was a loose stepping stone in a bizarre conspiracy theory. I think it might have looked bad in the eyes of some if he HAD been in Atlanta after claimed he had maybe only been through the airport. But I think Smith would have said, “yeah, I was there” if he HAD been there.
