O’Connor introduced a bill for paid sick leave in Pittsburgh & it passed in 2015. It was tied up in legal wrangling, and was more or less dropped during COVID.
Then Mayor Gainey started enforcing the law!
Now local businesses provide paid sick leave, with support & training from the city.
