I know I’m a few days late on this - but the news that the University of Oklahoma suspended an instructor because they failed a student for not following instructions and using the Bible as a cudgel is another line of demarcation in the rising tide of fascism.

Predictably, conservative media has tried to drum up a victim narrative - that somehow this perfect student was unreasonably critiqued by a trans instructor. Yet, even upon review the student failed the assignment for not following instructions. www.washingtonpost.com/education/20...

You can have your personal beliefs - and even be highly influenced by theology. What the instructor was asking for was empirical evidence. We cannot accept an academic world where empirical evidence is somehow a controversial take.
