I had only read the blurb in a bookshop, so I Libby’d it, and got about 10% of the way through before realizing there was not gonna be a tone shift and what I was reading was meant to be ‘romance.’ After reading the reviews, I guess I avoided both rape and forced birth plots. ARE PEOPLE OKAY??
