Action has been absent for much more than 'the past decade', as you should know. Anne Cryer, a Labour MP, talked about this problem in 2002 and 2003 and was described as racist by some of her own colleagues. The Tories have been dreadful, but there is plenty of blame for Labour councils.

Cynics might say that their actions show that the Conservatives care as little about the facts as they do about child abuse victims. Their failure to stand up for Jess Phillips is an utter disgrace.
