Oh yeah. It's been glossed over in favor of the origin Jack Kirby drew (mostly by virtue of him drawing it) but the original Golden Age Green Arrow was more Indiana Jones than Robin Hood.
Also, he had an Arrow Cave hideout one year before Batman had a Bat-Cave. (Even if Quiver IS a better name.)
