Dunluce Castle, on the edge of a basalt cliff on the Antrim coast of Northern Ireland, dating back to the 13th century. Built by the McQuillan family, it became the stronghold of the MacDonnell clan. Its location made it a strategic fortification, but part collapsed into the sea in a storm in 1639.
