Bandaid 🩹 adaptation seen this morning to keep this Coconut Grove (Miami) street free of sunny day saltwater #flooding. #KingTides are inundating more of South Florida due to sea level rise. How do we transition from bandaids to stitches? It’ll take lots of 💸. Or moving 🚛 .

I left Miami for many reasons and this is one of them. The drainage system is out dated and floods now on a regular rain day along with sea levels rising. I grew up in the Grove and worked there in thhe Grove for 38 years!

I saw at least a dozen calls to Broward 911 for "water main break" or flooding near canals this morning, and that was just at a glance. The big boys do whatever they want, leaving us locals to deal with the repercussions
