#OtD 17 Aug 1918 women workers at Willesden bus garage started a wildcat strike for a pay rise and equal pay with men. By 23 Aug about 18,000 women out of the 27,000 in the industry had stopped work. On 25 Aug they got their pay increase. Learn more: stories.workingclasshistory.com/article/8860...
