the one thing i’ll give them having missed whatever this was is seeing they replied to someone pushing them to actually assert their values to say the following, which i have almost never seen an actual bigot be able to say. it would usually be the most non-committal, caveated, wishy-washy statement

I can offer screenshots of the incident if necessary. However, as I've reiterated to others, I've taken the proactive step of removing the compromised comments from my account. I refuse to allow such content to persist, as it only fuels the spread of hate and confusion.
