I'm definitely doing the surgery, because my spine surgeon is a glorious maniac who has worked out a way to drop the risk level to where we're both comfortable accepting it (bsky.app/profile/raha...) so there's a CHANCE I will be able to avoid a full cervical fusion
@rahaeli.bsky.socialPRAISE EVERYTHING, my amazing genius of a spine orthopedist worked out a way to get the risk level of a cervical disc replacement (instead of fusion) down under our mutually acceptable threshold despite the Ehlers Danlos so there is a CHANCE I will be able to avoid 2 more fusions!
