Republicans right now are doing new spends to defend senate seats in south carolina and mississippi and the Times is doing a "what went wrong" autopsy circular firing squad article about... *Democrats* (who are all ahead in the polls)

And it's premature to let a centrist group get in a self-interested shot like this before we even know if these candidates will actually fare worse in the elections than other ones. Indefensible.
