'Nashville Skyline' is the unique situation when Bob Dylan acts like it's perfectly normal that his new LP is a wildly horny 28-minute Country & Western album wherein he sings like a particularly hash-drunk Dean Martin. Eventually, we agree that it's utterly flawless. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZhL...

I remember years ago playing Nashville Skyline (on tape!) for the first time and going from “what is this shit?” to “this is the shit” in its half hour runtime.

It's the only album cover where he really smiles right at us.

I never knew until now that Nashville Skyline was recorded in 4 days: Thursday 2/13/69 & Friday (Valentine’s Day), Monday 2/17 & Tuesday 2/18.

Damn good album. One of my favs. Will have to pop the cd in the car next time I’m out and about.

I love this record and have recommended it to non-Dylan fans as “What if Chubby Checker sang on a classic folk/country album?”

I’ll always treasure the moment when my son asked me, “why is he singing like that?”

It has a gorgeous, warm production too. Just a fabulous album.

It doesn't get much better than this, (And notice how much he looks like Jakob here).

I always wondered if Dylan turned on the crooner's voice for Nashville Skyline just to show people he could.

Bob Dylan tried his best to look like Cantinflas but he failed because there is only one Cantinflas.
