Elizabeth Nelson @paranoiacs.bsky.social · 20/09/2026"The paradoxes kept piling up, the prison of freedom growing ever more impossible to escape." For the Pitchfork Sunday Review, I wrote about 1969's sorrowful, game-changing 'Easy Rider' soundtrack. pitchfork.com/reviews/albu... 3342
Christian Sporleder @casporleder.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Love the actual shaggy dog note Some great interpretations out there of the title track. The Fairport Convention one particularly, Sandy Denny and Richard Thompson do something 010
Bill Zuka (Debuting This Week) @billzuka.bsky.social · 21/09/2026I loved this! Random: I’m not sure it was a licensing issue, but this album was out of print in the US throughout the 1980s & most of the 1990s. When ABC records folded, it briefly appeared on MCA before going out of print. Still avail overseas, many stores sold Imported vinyl & later CD copies 130
ChercheBuddy @cherchebuddy.bsky.social · 22/09/2026I enjoyed this a lot. A big record for me, plucked from the Dad Rack early on. Favorite songs: Wasn't Born to Follow (remains a personal all-timer) + the McGuinn offerings (I like his It’s Alright Ma more than Bob's) Also, is this Dannor guy from the comments on here? I want to roast him 010
