I'm seeing folks wonder are we now in a constitutional crisis. The crisis was whether to impeach Trump. The result was the culmination of many years of not holding any president to account. We are now post-crisis in the imperial presidency. The big Q: is whether congress fights back.

Isn’t it clear congress is not fighting back? The judiciary seems like the last check but unfortunately without enforcement that’s also pretty impotent. State governments seem like the only ones that can stand up for good government and hopefully people will vote with their feet

The courts have a bias towards the executive branch. Congress is where the remaining meaningful independent power lies, if they're willing to use it.
