I'm using an African cichlid for Kendra's mer design and a lancetfish for Nimat's. Nimat is full mer as opposed to Kendra's half, so he bears more inhuman traits. Silvery skin and shallow nose that persist even when he trades his tail for legs. He could never pass on land thanks to this.
