Okay, I am here at last for Dark Waters for #folkhorrorfriday. 1993 was an excellent year. That's the year DOOM came out. I was 11. I did not see this film until many, many years later, but it's one I like a lot. I love all this religious imagery. And the watery locale. This is where I would build a church for sure. Perfect location for some arcane nonsense. #folkhorrorfriday This movie is so Italian, so I don't know why it works for me as well as it does. I'm not generally into Italian horror (I'm infamous for thinking Argento's films that aren't Suspiria are awful), but this one does so much right. Yet I've never seen any of Baino's other films. #folkhorrorfriday
