#nowwatching The Brood tonight in my haphazard, leisurely quest to watch earlier Cronenberg films I haven't seen. 🎥👻 #filmsky #horrorsky #horror

A poster for David Cronenberg's The Brood, advertised as "the ultimate experience of inner terror". A white backdrop shows a dark blue and black photograph in the center with a bunch of children standing in a darkened hallway. One stands closer to the camera, off center to the left. The film's title appears below in large red block letters.

Two minutes in and I am already beyond confused. The fuck am I watching? This is some weird therapy turned into theater? Extremely uncomfortable start.

Cronenberg sure took umbrage with the medical establishment. The first three of these movies I've gone back to watch all have questionable medical or psychiatric institutions of some kind that feature prominently in their plotlines. #thebrood #mjrfilms
