Santa Barbara MTD uses a similar design to this for many of its local and express lines. Routes are operated like a loop at the outer end to but presented as linear services between ridership anchors for legibility.
@mesmith35673.bsky.socialI had the chance to explore the restructured Metro bus routes in Federal Way earlier this week and was pleasantly surprised. Due to low residential density and indirect roads, providing good transit to suburban areas is usually difficult. Metro’s double loop approach in Federal Way is really good.
