This partially comes from the scene in the teaser trailer where we see Vassago / Stolas interact in the greenhouse. My personal thought is this when Stolas first had a crush, but he didn't really understand he was gay, he just was defiant towards tradition. 🧵11/?

Now, there is one interpretation of Vassago was in love with him that I support could be part of this, and I mentioned it above. Vassago saw him troubled and tried to escape with him, but Stolas couldn't because of Via/the egg. I don't think its perfect, but possible. 🧵12/?

B/c for Stolas, if staying was just for Paimon, it doesn't line up. Paimon doesn't mean anything to Stolas, he doesn't KNOW him. I think this scene (provided its not a fantasy) supports that Stolas wasn't aligning with the visions of the Goetia from go. 🧵13/?
