spacecowboy @spacecowboy17.bsky.social · 21/02/2026Hm, running "dd if=/dev/nvme2n1 of=/dev/nvme1n1 bs=64M conv=fsync status=progress" and it is super slow 40MB/s Copied 60GB out of 2TB. "iostat -x 1" shows that the source drive is 100% utilized with no activity. Suggestions welcome 111322
spacecowboy @spacecowboy17.bsky.social · 22/02/2026It looks like I can't make it much faster than 200MB/s Ended up running "sudo cat /dev/nvme2n1 | sudo tee /dev/nvme1n1 > /dev/null" - it seems to utilize the reading part quite well with prefetch of the filesystem cache. Will let it finish. May take 2-3 hours though 11140
