Science isn't and shouldn't just be for scientists (or for that matter policymakers).

Although the evaluation and peer review of research is carried out by experts in the field, this does not, and should not, imply that non-experts aren't informed of how scientific findings are used. Cross-disciplinary scientific research is testament to that. #academicsky

Indeed, but many are anti-science even though their lives revolve around and depend on it. ReformUKplc and many Tories in the UK and the entirety of the MAGA cult in the USA. Is the problem primary & secondary education and their underfunding? I suggest it is.

I think what’s being suggested there is that there should be something akin to open scrutiny of methodology. The concern I have here is that simply numerical gaming nonsense can’t be used to define truth. Similarly, da davanti a dietro, cannot occur. We need at least some sort of filter.
