i hate the general cultural attitude towards death so much. i know it's a very deeply sorrowful thing for a lot of people but i wanna shake everyone's shoulders and say "it's a gift that we get to die!!! it's something to revere and love and be grateful for!!! if anything, it gives life meaning!!"

imagine having to live forever! why is living a long life inherently better than living a shorter one? what, because we can't provide more value and comfort to the living anymore? must the living demand more always, even from the dead? i can't wait to die, though i love to live.

For me it's hard to miss someone and have nothing at the other end of that feeling. Or knowing someone I loved suffered, or regretting not making better use of your time with them, but there's no possibility of doing better anymore
