People in high-income countries underestimate their rank position relative to others globally – therefore communication of one’s rank position relative to others (Rank-Based Nudge, RBN) led to an increase of the windfall bonus (from a raffle) donated to Against Malaria Foundation (AMF). (2/5)

Before participants learned their rank, the Injunctive Distribution Task (IDT) asked how much top global earners should donate annually. While the IDT didn’t significantly raise donations, follow-ups will explore whether this is due to the gap between annual income (IDT) and windfalls (DV). (4/5)
