PCAC to the MTA @pcac.org · 31/12/2024

Happy New Year! Here’s what we think is in, and out, in 2025:

IN:
🌤️ Congestion pricing (finally!)
🤑 Saving riders money w/ new fare incentives
✅ Fully funding the MTA Capital Plan
🗳️ Voting Rider Reps on the MTA Board
🔄 Integrating our region’s transit systems
🏘️ Housing near transit
🚍 Bus lanes

OUT:
😇 Bad-faith congestion pricing arguments
✈️ Overpriced AirTrain fares
↘️ Transit disinvestment
🚂 Ancient rolling stock
🚦Depression-era train signals
🙅 NIMBYism
🐓 Buses that are slower than a chicken
