Day 7 of #HQPrideParty is Loose. Since @joelipsett.bsky.social is working through Leopold and Loeb adaptations for @murdermfiction.bsky.social, why not use this opportunity to watch this week's film, COMPULSION (1959), which is a <loose> adaptation of the real life case.

A pink square with the poster for Compulsion featuring a larger white man wearing a white button up, blue tie and open green vest while holding a pipe. Behind him are two younger man in suits - one in blue with a tie; the other with a bow tie

For Day 8 of #HQPrideParty, we're adopting the British slang interpretation of Lift to watch a movie with a dumbwaiter sequence (because we love dumbwaiter horror!)

A blue square with the poster for Halloween: H20 in it, featuring a white mask with black eyes on the left hand, with a roster of heads of people staggered vertically on the right, including a middle aged woman with short brown hair, a blond teenager. A bald Black man and two dark haired teens in the back

Any daytime horror film would work for today's #HQPrideParty prompt, but why not go for a film literally built about light from the sun?

A black box with the poster for Sunshine inside, featuring a row of people walking towards the camera, bathed in the yellow-gold glow of an enormous sun behind them
