I knew Vince Zampella well. Not "we text each other" well, but he & I would always talk about games, cars, & life when we saw each other and got time to talk, just us. He truly, genuinely changed the games industry with his work. RIP. This hurt to write: www.ign.com/articles/cal...

You say this a lot on the podcast, but the industry is so young, so to lose a great is always a little more jarring. He created a lot of games that defined my teens.

Every single time I would hear his name mentioned, it is always with great reverenace, and how he was a master in the industry. This is really sad.

I was scheduled to do a Battlefield 6 interview w/Vince the day of The Game Awards. It got postponed. I then saw him at the Game Awards afterparty but he was talking to a few people, so I didn't want to intrude. I tried to find him later but couldn't. That really hurts now. 😢
