Afro-Asiatic has two words for lion: *labiwʾ/*libawʾ and *ʾariw/*ʾawVr. With (at least written) Egyptian and (at least written) Minoan collapsing r/l, it's hard to know which of those is behind Egpytian <rw> (probably *ʾariw) and which behind Greek <lewon> (probably *libawʾ)
