#FridayReads Still working on THE WITCHES OF CAMBRIDGE by Alice Hoffman. It's been a rough week, as I supposedly get used to some new meds, and now I'm on pain pills for back spasms, so I'm not staying awake reading long at bedtime.
And I got five more new books in, this past week! #FridayReads THE WITCHES OF CAMBRIDGE by Alice Hoffman.
And now everyone knows which book I was griping about over a boneheaded historical error last night. #FridayReads About 40% through WOLF HALL, but they put me on meds that are making me unsteady and mentally vague, so until I'm past that I think I need something fluffier. 
After work and hospital visiting for #FridayReads I’ll be very glad to read Pretenders to the Throne by Adrian Tchaikovsky #FridayReads Just finished OWNING UP by George Pelecanos, just barely started WOLF HALL by Hilary Mantel, which I understand is a dark sequel to THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS. For #FridayReads it’s back to the hugely enjoyable Pretenders to the Throne by Adrian Tchaikovsky #FridayReads Rereading THE MAN WHO CAME UPTOWN by George Pelecanos. Slowly. #FridayReads Hey, look! Still reading THE SHAMPOO EFFECT by Jenny Jackson, but at least I'm reading again, if slowly. I'm actually at the halfway mark now and it looks like things may be about to start popping. #FridayReads Doing my part for men reading, writing and publishing, I've got THE MAN WHO CAME UPTOWN and THE BLUE FLAME by George Pelecanos and SUMMER LIGHTNING by P.G. Wodehouse queued up on the Kindle. Plus THE SHAMPOO EFFECT by Jenny Jackson to get back to, for some non-manly reading. #FridayReads About two-thirds through PUSH THE WALL by Lanky Frank Miller. I'm still not sleeping right, so I keep passing out after only a few pages, but it's not the book's fault, since I was doing that with the books I was reading before this.
Still, the book is...thin. And very repetitive. #FridayReads I haven't done any prose reading before bed for about two weeks -- I've been exhausted and just spent the time reading a few Carl Barks Donald Duck stories and thinking about old comics.
But my local library just got this, so I guess I'll see if I want to think about other old comics.
