So, how do you protect yourself from this? It's a really, really complicated question, and the answer is a lot more complicated than you'd think. A part of the answer is Hypnotic Safeties, which is something you do in hypnosis as a sort of safeguard against unwanted effects. I'll cover that later.

Your first and foremost guard against harmful hypnosis is going to be PRICK. Personal Responsibility, Informed, Consensual Kink Hypnosis is hugely, hugely, *hugely* a two-way street when it comes to responsibility. If you're getting into hypnosis, it's your responsibility to learn about it.

Whether you plan on being a hypnotist or a subject or both or just a casually involved observer in the hypno scene, you *need* to learn about hypnosis to engage with it. It's your responsibility to know what you're getting into - whether overt or covert. That knowledge is your first defense.
