The rest of the night was a blur. The Knights swept through the village, and the scavs didn't stand a chance. You even saw some of them trying to run away, but it didn't help - groups of Knights chased the survivors down like packs of wolves chasing injured prey. You'll never forget the screams.

When it's all over, you and the other survivors are herded towards the center of your town, and people take stock. You're surprisingly unscathed, despite being newly-orphaned. Physically, you're fine. Mentally, that's another matter. But that night at least, you had survived.

The Knights gathered in the town square, most covered or spattered in blood. They wore matching sets of plate armor, spiked and savage, and held weapons of the highest quality. Each stood as tall as a statute, in perfectly even rows, standing stock still as their Overseer spoke with the town elder.
