The Heritage Foundation laid out how they were going to rescind Title IX, the law that prohibits sex discrimination in education, by first targeting trans people's participation in sport. Capitulating on the human rights of transgender people is catastrophically falling at the first hurdle.

It frustrates me to no end that the democratic playbook could very easily be "When conservative says X, pull up [conservative org]'s webpage and point out the passage where it says 'By saying X we lay the groundwork to turn the US into a theocracy where non-Christians must convert or be executed.'"

I agree with everything that has been said! I have been part of, or have witnessed this fight for decades. Every time they find people to acceptibly torture, and remove from society, they already have more lined up. All you gotta ask yourself is who were they targeting before and that's whose next.

So..if I'm gonna get into it without being paid to write a column, yeah, I mean the reason I pinned the 'start' of this swing on 2015 is that's when Obergefell was handed down. The -IMMEDIATE- response from Family Research Council was a set of policy briefs specifically targeting trans Title IX.

You're not making pragmatic calculations, you're not bargaining or impeding fascism in any way, shape, or form, you are a gullible mark at best, or hate your fellow human beings so much you're engaging in willful collusion with fascism as long as it hurts them no matter how many others are harmed.
